When creating a styled shoot I like to start with one main concept that tells a story or has some sort of meaning behind it. I usually find inspiration scrolling on Pinterest or from something I come across in my everyday life, whether it's something I find in nature, an outfit, or prop I want to focus the shoot around.
For this photoshoot I had the idea of basing a look off of the concept of Lucky Girl Syndrome. I learned what this is earlier this year, and have started to implement it into my life because of how transforming it can be and has been for people I know.
Which if you don't know what it is, it's similar to the Law of Attraction at its core. It's essentially the belief that your mindset and what you focus on is what will manifest in your life. Through mantras like "I'm so lucky everything works out for me" or "I'm the luckiest girl in the world" you will start to feel that in your life and then begin to actually experience it.
When you start to rewire your brain and your subconscious thoughts, you're changing not only your inner thoughts but how you go about your life and the energy you give off. The energy you put out into the world is the energy you attract. The Law of Attraction tells us that positive thoughts bring positive results, while negative thoughts bring negative outcomes.
You can start to create your own ideal reality through not only mantras but also through positive affirmations, practicing gratitude, and getting really clear on what you want out of life by writing it down or visualizing it by creating a mood board. The more specific and detailed you can get the better.
To some, it may seem like delusional confidence. Maybe it is. But I'd rather to choose to be delusional and think the best is going to happen than choose to be unhappy and feel sorry for myself while do nothing about it. You have more control over how you feel and what happens in your life than you realize.
It all starts with change, no matter how small, to create a big difference in your life. It doesn't hurt anyone or anything to start positive little changes in your life. If you've tried any mantras or affirmations before like the Lucky Girl mantra, let me know how it's worked for you!
